Crocheted body and most of the head. Wanted more of a true tuxedo cat design so I started adding a white belly on row 18. I also wanted to extend the face patch to meet the belly so I extended the face patch accordingly. Stopped at the point of adding the eyes and adding stuffing.

Added safety eyes and finished head. Crocheted arms, ears and tail.

Made cheeks and Poppy headpiece.
Worked up a modified version of the shirt with the spike stitch worked up in alternating stitches through round 8 using the inverse single crochet technique on the return pass, then followed the pattern from round 9. Changed started top and first row with black yarn- sleeves in black.

IF I were to make it again I would not do the pattern on round 8 - only sc that round, as the bottom of the skirt would look more like petals.

02-02-2025

Reworked the modified top changing round 8 to sc, still not sure. When I finally dressed the doll I decided it would look better as a dress.

Made the top as directed in the pattern changing out the starting chains and first row/sleeves for black. I like this better.

Sewed all parts of the doll together, added eye details and eyebrows. sewed in all loose ends.

Started on pants- they currently look like a business mini skirt.

finished pants.

pulled out other animal friends only to realize that Marie and especially Claire are just the slightest bit larger than there other friends. I realize this was because I used one to two steps larger hooks. Will have to rework these two using approx. 3.00 mm hooks with the black yarn.
