1/02/2010 - Buttons on! Officially my first finished sweater. This was a relatively easy knit with cute results. Overall a great pattern, only next time, I’d make additional buttonholes above the two that were placed in the pattern.

12/31/2010 - “Fresh off the needles” photo added. Blocking now, in the meantime, need to find buttons, I’m thinking maybe blue. I did not end up making the knit-in pockets b/c I didn’t want it to be bulkier in the waist area.

11/16/2010 - Working on the ribbed band that goes around. I hope I can block this out a little bit, the stitches are already stretched enough from using the larger needles. If this one fits, I am planning on using LB wool-ease thick and quick in linen for a gift for someone else with this pattern. I may change the sleeves to be less…poofy. I think the chunky knitting doesn’t really need larger sleeves.

11/10/2010 - Cast on with smaller needles and yarn than called for with the 34.5” instructions with the hope that it will fit a smaller frame. The alpine wool is soft and warm, and knits up nicely, and I love the amber brown color :D
