This will be a gift for a friend’s newborn. I chose totally “girly” colors and a touch of grey for contrast.

The pattern is easy and doesn’t need much of concentration during knitting.

To avoid curly edges, I added some garter rows in the beginning and four garter sts at the side edges.

it’s almost finished. I believe that It would have been better if I hadn’t add edge sts.

I used 3.75mm needles and CO 177 sts which made the blanket smaller and it bothers me a little bit.

For the next blanket I am going to use the same yarn because it’s warm and light but I’ll CO some more sts.

Next stages are washing and blocking!

After blocking it acquired the desired size 71cm x 91cm.

As I mentioned earlier, for my next project i’ll CO more sts.

The blanket was given and everyone was happy!
I will definitely knit one more.
