I needed a quick baby gift for my nephew’s christening, and I knew this bear hat would be perfect! The facial features were largely improvised after looking at other Ravelers’ bear hats. I thought the braided ties looked a bit too feminine, so I decided to go with a ribbed I-cord instead (with a purl row added every four rows). This I-cord has the added benefit of not slipping once tied.
