My first intarsia project.

Auntie Bettie made these for 2 generations, at least 20 of them. I finally am making one for my youngest child, who is now 18.

10/15/13--i didn’t like the seam look (mattress st.) at all because of the decreases; frogged.

Found a u-tube video on knitting intarsia in the round; with wrap and turn st.:

Going to do lettering, nose, eyes, and mouth in duplicate st. this time…. (My Intarsia puckered at letters).

Turns out the wrap and turn st. (for knitting Intarsia in the round) is not much prettier than the mattress st., as I had imagined. Next one I will knit flat, as designed, with the mattress st. :>
