This was a beautiful pattern. Using my recently stashed Malabrigo Rios in 870 Candombe, I was able to add a little more depth to the pattern by introducing some varying color throughout my work. The pattern calls for 4 repeats using a size 10 needles, but I used size 7 needles on KnitPicks acrylic Zephyr needles, and did 7 repeats for a more comfortable fit. I added a button for pizzazz from Jo-Anns. I did not use the kitchener stitch to join the two ends; instead I used the mattress stitch for finishing, and the multicolored yarn nearly disappeared in the seaming, it blended so well. Definitely worth the time and effort: this pattern is one that I will be returning to often.
