Notes

I found this honeycomb brioche stitch on an iPhone app, and I love it. I’ve practiced and swatched, but haven’t found any pattern I like to use it in. So I decided to try my hand at a cowl, starting with K1p1 ribbing, and then branching into honeycomb brioche.

I do it a simple way -- with krb instead of YOs. I knit in the row below to create the brioche, and it’s simple and clean, and more uniform, I think, than the YO way.

I’m going to stitch it together at the end, because I don’t know how to do this method in the round -- and I’m almost sure it would involve purling. I’m lazy -- I want to keep my yarn on the same side throughout.

I liked these earthtones better in the skein than in the garment, but fb from friends seems fairly positive, so I’ll keep going.
