Using Grumperina's method for cabling without a cable needle.

Mods

• cast on 68 stitches,
• cuff 12 r,
• changed placement of pattern to be symmetrical,
• leg chart r 1-23 twice + r 1-20,
• heel flap 36 r plain stockinet decreasing 4 st on the first r, slipped first and last st on all WS r, round heel,
• picked up 20 st on each side for gussets and also moved 2 st from the instep on each side, decreased every third r until 30 st left on sole,
• foot purled first st after instep, chart r 21-23 + 1-23 three times + r 22-23,
• toe decreased every third r until 28 st left then every r until 8 left, cut yarn and pulled through.
