Note to self: Remember this way of starting fingers and thumb for the futute. The fit is excellent and there will be no holes!

I prefer to knit from charts so I made my own for the pattern repeat (with modification as below).

Using Grumperina's method for cabling without a cable needle.

Used 2.25mm needles for cuff & hand and 2.5 for fingers & thumb.

Mods

• on the first r of each repeat made an extra wrap around the needle for st 3 & 9,
• cuff knit ten pattern repeats,
• hand increased for thumb every third r until 21 st between markers, knit one more r before putting on holders, cast on 3 st and knit 4 1/2 pattern repeats before starting fingers,
• little finger picked up 1 st extra before and after CO = 16 st, knit 26 r before decrease r,
• hand picked up 6 st on first r and decreased away 2 on the second, decreased 2 st on upper side = 46 st left,
• ring finger 4+7+3+7 (picking up 1 st extra before and after CO) = 21 st, knit 32 r before decrease r,
• middle finger picked up 6 st and decreased away 2 on the next r +7+4+7 (picking up 1 st extra before and after CO) = 22 st, knit 38 r before decrease r,
• index finger picked up 7 st and decreased away 2 on the next r +8+8 (increasing 1 st on each side) = 21 st, knit 34 r before decrease r,
• thumb picked up 7 st and decreased away 2 on each of the next following three r = 22 st, knit 27 r before decreased r.
