2/3 - These grew a little in the wash (machine wash, warm, no dryer.) But they still fit great. I did not attempt to put them in the dryer yet. But they are really warm (even for ice skating) and they got a little softer after washing!
1/19 - DONE! sadly, the 2nd one is a tiny bit shorter than the first. must have been a yard or two shorter in the skein since I used all but 6” from each. They’re cute and warm. LOVE THEM!
1/15 - Definitely need to pick up at least 2 sts in between the heel and instep when re-joining in the round to close up the holes.
1/9 - Started 2nd sock before “2nd sock syndrome” sets in. Took a short break to work on my other project, but now it’s time to get my sock it’s mate. :) Completed the toe. I’m a bit disappointed that the skeins don’t match, and since I used up every last inch of the first ball on the first sock, i’m not going to start trying to match up the colors and risk running out or having something funky happen at the cuff of the 2nd one.
1/3 - Finished sock #1 with Jeny’s Super Stretchy Bind Off. This bind off uses far more yarn than I expected and I ran out the first time, so had to frog back a few rows and do it over.
One sock used exactly one ball of the yarn! That’s the beauty of Toe-up!
1/2/14 - Continued increases up the sock. At 6 1/2” from heel, 86 sts. Continue in rib until last 2 color changes of yarn, then finish and BO in stockinette.
12/31 - start M1 (in between where there is no P1) about 1 3/4” up from heel. M1 every 4 rows. 64 sts at 2 1/2 “ from heel (6” around). Maintain st count for 1” or so then begin increases again: M1 every other row. Calf = 15 1/2”
12/29 - start short row heel at 7 3/4” length from toe
12/27 - Cast on for BDTD socks. Instead of lace, establish rib pattern as follows: K1, (K3, P1) 7 times, K1
