Delighted to be testing another pattern for Suvi - this one spoke to me straight away (being an April child myself) and I knew I wanted to make something spring-like to banish the winter blues and embrace the brighter days ahead.

From the beginning, I knew I wouldn’t have enough of my chosen yarn to make the longer sleeves as written in the pattern - but as I envisaged this being a spring tee, I didn’t really want longer sleeves anyway, and I’m super pleased with how the very cute cap sleeves turned out. And, being a fan of colour, I also chose to knit the lace sections in a contrast merino single yarn, held double. I also limited the lace sections to the top half of the tee, with plain stockinette for the remainder of the body, and simple ribbing as opposed to the split hem.

Edit 25 March… I wasn’t happy with the length of this and so I ripped back the body and shortened it so it’s just fractionally cropped on my tall body. So much happier with this length! I also added a few short rows before the bottom hem to shape it slightly longer at the back, and it just sits so well on my body shape. Shortening the tee also meant I used only 2 skeins of DK yarn, plus one skein of Merino singles, held double, for the entire project for the generous size 3. There will definitely be further versions of this!
