I’m going to attempt this with some slight variations - fingering weight yarn and slightly larger needles for a lighter and more airy cardigan, just right for the spring and early summer weather I am now craving, and the yarn I’ve chosen will remind me of how the verbena in my summer garden dances on the breeze… I’m also going to try a narrower collar. It may work, it may not. I’m not afraid to frog and restart if it doesn’t!

30 Jan. I’ve completed four lace repeats down the back and I’m starting to see the shape of this cardigan emerge and I’m liking it the rows are long though at this stage and I’m eagerly looking forward to dividing for the sleeves…still a way off!

5 Feb. Sleeve separation day hurrah!!

12 Feb. Three quarter sleeves knitted and placed on hold to decide whether they will grow longer depending on available yarn and I’m now knitting down the body. Loving the fit and the construction of this cardigan, can sense a second one somewhere in my knitting future…

4 March. All finished and blocked - a fantastic fit but the terrible photos don’t do it justice - will hope for some sunshine and natural light to take some proper photos soon!
