Needed a nice easy relaxing knit for our day at the beach

Not a huge amount of knitting on the beach because it was so windy and sandy, but a nice spot of early morning knitting accompanied by a gently snoring dog has seen me up to the end of the first wedge. This is such a relaxing knit and the pattern just flows along. Great choice for an end-of-summer last minute project!

2 Oct. Realised this is not going to knit itself and have been trying to pick it up occasionally and add a few rows. It’s not that I don’t have the motivation to knit, I just don’t have the time!

8 Oct. Day spent in bed recovering from a nasty cold, but put to good use finishing this off. It’s not the biggest shawl I’ve ever knitted, but we’ll see what sort of magic blocking does to it. It’s delicately pretty

…and yes, blocking has transformed this into something light, airy and ever so pretty. Very pleased with it! Going to live with it for a few days before deciding for or against tassels. Yip. Tassels.
