this a gorgeous pattern ~ I think a beginning lace knitter (or someone new to reading charts) would do well with this one! I did modify it just a bit but only because I only had 440yds to work with:
MODS:
- I used a US5 needle
- I did 5st nupps v. 7st since I was short on yardage and I do tend to like my nupps a little on the smaller size
- I only did 19 center chart repeats (again, short on yardage) although I probably could have eeked one more out and still had enough yarn for the borders
Blocked measurements 48” long, 12” wide at widest part of lace edging, 10 1/2” wide center panels of scarf

soooo, here’s a first ~ tried to take out my provisional caston and what a mess! I’ve never had a problem before but DISASTER. Here’s the cool part ~ nothing to lose at this point so out came the scissors, I cut off everything up to the first row of lace and found all my live stitches and voila ~ PERFECTION! That was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m between projects and waiting to cast on Miralda’s Triangular Shawl until my trip so found this lovely, surprisingly simple and extremely gorgeous Nancy Bush pattern to tide me over til then
I’m short on yardage so I think my edges will be a bit shorter and I’ve made my nupps as 5-st instead of 7-st (mostly because I like them a little smaller and also to save yarn)
this one is going to be a beauty, I can tell ~ the color is a knock out!
this is my first non-laceweight madelinetosh knit ~ I’ve used the Prairie Laceweight and the tosh lace and this totally feels like a heavier Prairie…I love it!
