Next testknit for Rachel is a filigran top-down, colourwork yoked sweater: Henna… the stranded colourwork pattern is inspired by henna tattoo art. Rachel recently attended a festival and received a beautiful henna tattoo featuring vines, leaves and swirls; Henna sweater pattern is her knitted interpretation of that art.

Decided to go with plantbased handdyed yak blend by Mira von Mach, I buyed at etsy. Short term decicion, added a few left overs by Miss La Motte…
Started with longtail cast on and needle size 2.75mm changed to 3.25mm after neck ribbing.
Body is done, now onto the sleeves
first sleeve is done…

mods:
added a neckband after the ribbing
used ladderback at the body in my own way

all others knitted exactly as pattern calls for

Left yarn is: MC 30gr, CC1 (soft pink) 16gr, CC2 (red) 87gr

So the yarnconsumption for my size is:
MC - 988m
CC1 - 307m
CC2 - 48m + a few metres reddish left overs form other projects
