Hooraay, I’m one of the testknitters for this awesome new pattern by Zaneteknits
Marta Sweater is named after Zanete’s grandmother. She was the one who saved a rare book of Latvian ornaments from destruction during Soviet times and kept it safe until she could pass it on to her granddaughter. Parts of this book feature heavily across Zanete’s entire pattern collection.
Zanete scattered ornaments from it’s pages throughout this sweater.
Because of this history, I will use a well-kept treasure for this project, I buyed years ago at kielgeholt in Duisburg: a gradient colored skein single yarn from Latvia. The weight is 141gr, so it should be enough for this beauty. MC is fingerring merino linen blend, plantbased handdyed by irida Design…
Knitted the whole thing with needle size 2.75mm.
mods:
- added some more short rows before the colorwork
- with permission of the designer added another flowerpattern at the body to show more of the beauty from my CC; repeated row 73 to 97 of the chart once
- knitted 16cm long cuffs at the sleeves instead pattern calls for short ribbings, just because I love long cuffs

Left yarn is : MC 61gr and CC 39gr
so the used yarddage for my Marta sweater is:
MC: 956m
CC: 408m
Thank you so much, Zaneteknits for trust me again and having me in your testteam!
