Co 39, knit 11 Ribbing back and forth about 1.5 cm.

Put markers around the center 7st, and then after 3st to each side. The 3st will be the ears.

Increase “inwards” every other round at each edge of the ear, i.e. 4st.

Start doing stockinette stitch except for between the ears, where we maintain the ribbing.

When there are 17st between each ear marker pair, start increasing outwards instead. Use markers to keep count of increases.

When there are 7st in each outwards increase, start decreasing around the center 3st of each ear until all increased st are gone. Decrease the last st, then turn and lift.

Then, decrease only on the outside of the ears until all side stitches are eliminated.

Now pick up st around the neck. Co 6st in the front. Knit 1x1 ribbing.
