This could be a great pattern, if it wasn’t FULL of mistakes! It is pretty unbelievable for, what appears to be, a nice book with nice designs for a respected yarn brand. I was woefully unimpressed with the fact that they could not include a chart for the cable, doing this could have eliminated a number of the mistakes in the written cable pattern.

Cable pattern:
Row 7, 9, 11 and 17 do not work if you “repeat row X”. I ended up knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches and it did work.
Row 16: missing p4 at the end.

The finished item is cute, but I essentially had to re-invent the wheel to make it work. Annoying! I’m planning to chart out the cable pattern, I think it would help immensly and I have no idea why designers do not use this tool.

I’m making 2 more cozies out of a washable acrylic/ wool in a nice grey (encore). I gave one to a friend in my knit group as a going away present, the other I’ll keep.
