For this skinny sport wt test of the Burly Bias pattern I tried making the other scarf end come to a point. I like it but would like it even more without the stripes I think, because of the way one edge of the point looks different (solid color row from the other edge of it (row ends of all colors).

All photos are of a scarf about half the length it could be if I used up all of the yarn: just one Snack ball each of 3 colors (85 yds per color; total of 256 yds for a 68” long skinny scarf/tie).

As for the color changing, I prefer the effect of doing it one stitch in from the edge instead of while making the last stitch. At first I wasn’t sure, because the one-st-in seemed to make the WS look distinctly WS; but after enough rows it looks kind of cool. It’s a matter of scale.
