The high school I attended in Iowa sold “Homecoming Mums” as corsages for the dance. It was a single real chrysanthemum flower corsage, not those giant embellished Texan things.

My son’s Florida high school doesn’t do Homecoming mums but I crocheted a tiny bracelet one just in case his date expected one.

I used a sparkly black wrist strap that I bought for $1 at JoAnn Fabrics, and slid the flower onto it.
