I was curious about this stitch pattern for a garment, and about how I’d do it as a corner-start shape. Out of the corner of my eye it reminds me of vintage chenille fabric, sort of. I expect it to be a casual throw on over anything with jeans kind of thing.

6/25/11 Finished left front and half of back. Had to rip out back to change how I shaped it.

7/11/11 Finished and need to block it. Then I’ll entertain the idea of adding half or cap sleeves, or some kind of armhole something. Or else it will be a halter-type of vest.

8/1/11 I’m pleasantly surprised by how this experiment turned out! And I found 5 very different ways to wear it, so it was a very useful experiment. After photographing it every which way, I’m content that it’s fine without sleeves!
