I assumed I’d launch my pattern line website with this bewitching design back in Fall 2010. It’s special, but the original version had issues.

Now it’s March 2013 and I know how to turn the limits into Fun Features with Flex! (Such as, Mesmer II).

It’s funny, I found a forum awhile back -- I think a Russian one -- in which people were trying to figure out how this is made. Well frankly, even if you figure it out, I recommend that you use my pattern so that you have the information you need for planning ahead, and also, so that the edges come out their best. I’ve paid my dues lol!

This design came about because for years I was hoarding less than a full skein of the sequined pink silk yarn. When I noticed that I had only 1 skein of a matching pink silk-mohair yarn (though a different brand), I wondered how I could combine them in a project to make the most of both of them.

Back then I would have submitted this happy design solution to a crochet magazine, but mixing yarns from different yarn companies is generally a no-no.
