See also Starstrudel, the capelet version. I have 14g left from 50g. The pattern for it is called Starwirbel (because of the “whirl” of the spiral rounds) and is in my Ravelry store and at the shop.
I think I’ll remake this cowl with the white Kid-Paillettes I have left over. (Shown in dove grey in these photos.) The light blue one in the bottom photo is in S. Charles Collezione Luna.
I’m so loving this project! The cowl took less than 25 g of an expensive yarn - that’s less than 136 yds! I plan for the capelet to take 50 g but it may end up taking much less.
Bottom photo is the first prototype in a different yarn. I’ve ripped this out 5 times since then! I’ve modified the stitch pattern and have come up with my own method for increasing, which I love. The increasing is easy and fast, and invisible.

It’s coming out stretchier than I expected, and also holds its shape better than I expected.
