Love this yarn both before it’s machine washed and dried, for its almost linen feel; after, it’s really soft, almost fleecy. PERFECT for hard-wearing washable reusable makeup remover pads. Better than plain cotton.

I prefer the fingering wt. too, even though most crocheted reusable makeup remover pads are made with dishcloth cotton. I thought sock yarn with a good amount of cotton added to the usual superwash wool and nylon would stay softer and feel great, and it DOES.
