GORDON REID
It was with great sadness that we learnt of
the death of Gordon Reid. The writer behind
the influential blog Gansey Nation, Gordon
was a key figure in promoting the craft of
gansey knitting. Gordon was a prolific knitter
who had been making ganseys for nearly
forty years, and he sought out traditional
patterns and shared them with his audience
- he designed our much-loved ‘Wick Leaf’
gansey sweater which appeared in Issue 185.
Gordon will be sadly missed by all of us who
were inspired by his writings.
