Bei meiner Rückreise musste ich
in Paris Charles de Gaulle umsteigen.
d.h. Bus, anderes Terminal, Sicherheitskontrolle
usw.
Ich war froh endlich im Flieger nach Frankfurt
zu sitzen und greife nach meinem Strickzeug.
Die “Jewels of the Knitting Man” waren nicht mehr
im Rucksack am gewohnten Platz.
Alles suchen war erfolglos.
Das einzige mal, dass ich das Handgepäck
öffnen musste, war die Sicherheitskontrolle.
Aber dahin zurück ?
Ich ging nach vorn zur Stewardess und versuchte zu erklären.
welches Missgeschick mir passiert ist, und
wie wichtig das Strickzeug für mich ist.
Hinter der Flugbegleiterin stand der Kapitän
und hörte meine Geschichte.
Er sagte, er wolle mir helfen und begleitete mich,
aus dem Flieger, zurück in das Terminal, vorbei an der Bording-Kontrolle, bis zum Security-Check
um mein Strickzeug zu suchen.
Bei der Auskunft der Air France war das Strickzeug
und wir konnten zurück zum Flieger.
Mit einer kleinen Verspätung startete die Maschine
und ich konnte weiter stricken.
Den Kapitän habe ich nach seiner Schuhgröße und seinem Namen gefragt. Die Socken Frederic sind in der Post nach Paris.

After long walking, Shuttle Bus, another Terminal
security check …..
finally in the plane in my seat,
grabbing in my backpack for my knitting,
but it was not there, digging all, could not find.
The only place, I opened the hand luggage,
was at security-check, to pull out my laptop.
Walked up to the Stewardess, trying to explane.

Behind her, was the Captain standing, listening,
he offered me to help. So, escorted by the

Commandant de Bord. I could go back, passing the bording control,
into the terminal to look for my yarn and knitting needles.
We found it and returned to plane,
with a little delay, we took off to Frankfurt.
I asked him for his shoe-size and the socks frederic are on the way to Paris.
