BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event.

I’ve been on the BarCamp Charleston planning committee for the last two BarCamps, and I was asked to make a hat last year but finally got around to it this year. As much as I love to knit hats, I’m not much of a designer, so I found the process interesting and rewarding.

I’m still tweaking the pattern, but hope to publish it soon.
