This is my first time testing for Kate. First of all, she runs her tests KAL style and it was so wonderful to feel part of her community, have questions addressed in a timely manner and a very positive and supportive environment.

Kate’s pattern is written very literal, and so I found it to be a bit wordy, but, that only makes it very clear, maybe just different than the format I am used to. What I LOVE the most about this pattern is that the fit is just amazing! I’ve found that sometimes even with a swatch the fit can be a bit off here and there, not this one! It is so spot on.

I suggest you have a notebook ready and keep track of which row you’re working on before joining the round. I was sure I can see the difference and know where I was but did end up making some mistakes. The front cable is stunning! And I love the lace detail at the end of the sleeve.

I ended up using one skein less than what the test pattern called for, I am not sure if the final pattern would reflect that, but I have listed the yardage here in case.

Overall I am extremely happy with this garment!
