Wasn’t totally clear about bust short row quantity, I did 8 pairs more than the minimum the pattern is written for which takes it to a C cup (I think). I’m a double D so that is too conservative but I didn’t want to go nuts and I did choose the size by my bust measurement so I’m hoping it’s okay.
Not thrilled by the rolled hems, I’m knitting the pattern as written but plan to make alterations after it’s finished if I think it needs them (hems in contrast).
Finished and blocking. Still don’t love the rolled hems so I’m going to tweak those, I think it’s a bit long in the body so I might knock back the length a bit too. Trying to decide on hem finishes, might crochet them for ease.
The bust shaping seems okay pre blocking, so I’m happy that I didn’t do extra short rows there.
Perfect amount of yarn, just a little left, next to no wastage.
I wouldn’t bother with the nupp/bobble things, not really my style and kind of lost in the lace pattern, I’m really don’t think they’d be missed if they weren’t there.
There were some errors in the pattern, easily spotted and worked around but I expect there to be errata released for it. Most substantial error: round 23 of the chart is incorrect - knock the first and last stitches charted off.
After blocking garment is longer, sleeves now fit me well. I opted for a double row of double crochet (uk) around cuffs and hem to get rid of the roll.
My back of neck short rows look right munted, not sure why they look so odd, they weren’t complicated so I don’t know how I went wrong.
Some serious pilling going on. Hoping the yarn will get through this awkward stage soon.
