Notes

Since I made this, the designer has co-founded a damaging misinformation/conspiracy group. She’s very good at separating her knitting life from her other work but that’s not how I roll. What she’s doing is terribly harmful (particularly so to some of our community’s most vulnerable people), so she won’t be getting any more of my business.

Found these buttons in my stash - vintage glass seashells in the perfect shade of grey to match my yarn. This totally justifies my large button stash. :)

This is a modified version of Floozy, I used the pattern for the yoke and then pretty much did my own thing to make the garment fit how I like it. I also modified the gauge.

I opted for this shorter length because it works so well with dresses and skirts.

Finer details of my fit mods in case I care to revisit:

  • In second iteration of Honey Baby, I repeated the last 2 rows just once more.

  • When splitting for arms, I divided with 55sts for each front (versus 51 in pattern) and 53 for each sleeve (versus 57 in pattern).

September 4, 2018

Sleeves finished. Almost consumed an entire 100g for both. All shaping delayed till elbow, then decreases worked every 5th round.

September 1, 2018

I am substantially modding this after the yoke.

  • Bust wedge added.
  • Waist shaping added.
  • Sleeve shaping delayed till elbow.
  • 2x2 rib button band with heaps of buttons (14).

August 21, 2018

Separated off sleeves. I’ve altered the numbers a bit to suit my narrow back and boobs. So I’ve shifted stitches from the back to the fronts.

August 20, 2018

Completed yoke and blocked it to ensure I can judge the right time to separate off sleeves.

I’m working the 36” size but at a tighter tension to give about a 34”. I want my row gauge to be shorter because I don’t want the yoke patterning straying too low down my bosom.
