YARN
Lichen and Lace Rustic sport in colour shrub purchase at Knitters Frolic several years ago. I didn’t have quite enough in stash because I purchased without a specific project in mind. The cables ate up the yarn and I needed an additional hanks which I located at Yarns Untangled. Dye lot was noticeably darker. I distributed it at the bottom of body and both sleeves, fading it in in each case.
2020-08-23 Plans
No waist
Skip bottom ribbing?
Stockinette sleeve (alla Wuepfi and Lilalu project)
icord 2 stitch lapel edge - rs: KsK ws: sKs (asatricosa)
As I started the collar, I was conflicted about continuing the cable pattern visually across the join at the back of the neck, or doing as directed in the pattern which does not resolve the cables at the back neck. I received good advice from posting a forum question and decided to go per pattern. This ensures that visually the cables will appear the same on the left and right sides AND as you are knitting, you will be doing the same cable cross across the row. Both were compelling reasons for the design feature.

Reached the point of DIVIDE
48 rows since picking up stitches
NOTE TO SELF - prepare a table of rows and repeats to check off as you go. I was using the counters in knit companion but since pattern was easy, I didn’t need to look at the app so I was not keeping track properly.
Collar 46
Front 33
sleeve 55
back 34 + 29+29 = 92
raglan 7 x 4
388 st (2 more than size sm)
2020-10-01
Picked up 2 st underarm as per pattern, but added an additional st when I knit across the row.
SIDE SEAM
pkp… but when I saw how great it looked on the WS, I reworked the stitches KPK. Love the defined columns!
2020-10-28 Body plans
Body 11 inches before ribbing - was aiming for about 13 inches which is about the same as my mustard yellow Naima.
2 x 2 Rib for 12 rounds and bind off in pattern with 4mm crochet hook.
2020-11-08 Sleeves complete!
4mm needles, because I knit more tightly in small circumference. Picked up 3 underarm, the 3 I cast on when splitting for body and sleeves.
Knit 44 rounds straight, decrease, and then decrease 3 more times approx 14 rows apart
change to 3.5 and knit one round
2 x 2 rib, decrease if necessary for total of 52 stitches for cuff.
Oh … how I love a project that is complete after you bind off that last sleeve. No picking up of button bands and neck bands. Yay!
16 rounds then bind off in pattern with 4mm crochet hook.
MODS
