Dyed my own colours in the blue and gold theme of the original, starting from the natural Cultivate yarn of Revolution Wool Co.
I see that 1 month in and I have not been noting progress and important things like mods :( and deviations from the pattern
Sized up to 4mm in body, some rounds before separating body and sleeves.
About 3.5 inches knitting body, decided to place st on hold and do a sleeve in order to try out the colourwork Ina small version in case I wanted to alter any of the colours.
27 June
SLV length 22, 23, 24, 10 = 79 rounds before colourwork
Left sleeve complete. 4.5mm colourwork, and I suppose 4mm for the sleeve. I did not keep notes, and since I believe I went up for the colour, that seems likely but worth paying close attention when starting the next sleeve.
The colours play nicely together and I will leave them as they are. I do think the 3rd color might benefit froma sprinkle of dark brown overdye, but that might result in less contrast with the main color blue. Not to mention all the bother.
Next up, sweater body and the beautiful colourwork band!
Body colourwork
4.5mm - 8 rows in, I see that I’m working too loosely. Makes me sad to rip it back, but must be done.
