start cable chart over 40 st mainting:
. 6 stitches each edge in garter st
. 2 stitches either side of chart in reverse stockinette

Completed the cabled pattern.
Hard on my hands keeping the tight tension.
Love the twined branches -- a very satisfying knit.

Finished sewing it up - I sandwiched and sewed the seams on top of each other - there is probably sewing terminology to explain that. I thought it looked better for this heavy fabric than a regular seam. Gives it more structure.
