Okay, yeah. Reality bites. Starting over and going with the bland stockinette. Too difficult finding stitch patterns that will work. and look good on the reverse. and make similar fabric without stretching too much or being too tight.
So, prov CO 60 sts, us#5.
Six rounds gray. Seattle blue/Opponent green. Three rounds garter game separator: purl, knit, purl.

still undecided about post-season
right or wrong, decision made to end at regular season. I just want to get this thing into finished projects and be done with it. Cool project idea, but poorly implemented, IMO. I’m not the only one seems to be complaining about the length. Length, weight, bulk of a tube this long is just impractical.
Just have to figure out how I’m gonna do the ends.

Below is what I tried to make work in flat knitting.
It was, but it wasn’t, Scoreboard. Followed the principle, but not the stitch. Also, not using the recommended yarn. I tried a smaller tube, but it’s just too darn bulky. I’m knitting flat. And not all stockinette.
1x1 longtail cast on, 36 stitches.
3st garter borders, so I have 30 stitches to work with.
Used gray for beginning (cast on, 2 rows seed stitch w/o garter edges) Seattle blue/Opponent green. Consecutive scoring will designate a stitch change.
