Notes

I started knitting this several years ago for my cousin’s firstborn. Needless to say, I finally sewed in the zipper not long after her third son had arrived! It’s a bit big on him now, but he’ll grow into it.

Rather than knit the fronts and back as separate pieces, I knitted them together on a singular circular needle. That saved on sewing, but it made things a little complicated given that I was knitting all four machines at the same time! I love the finished effect, but wow, that was a lot of ends to weave in. Whenever I started a new colour, I cut a strand of about a meter rather than try to keep them attached to the balls. (You will end up with a LOT of strands going at once.) To simplify it a little, I used duplicate stitch for the words at the bottom and for a couple of the details on the machines.
