Started with the feathers because they’re supposed to be quite tricky… challenge! It works out fine!

19 march 2015
Crocheted head and neck in the round. Neck stays nice and firm.

Crocheted body in the round as well. Still nice and firm!

Have to make some changes to the pattern because she’s getting a lot bigger (intentionally!).

Finished first leg!

Finished the feathers, quite a lot of work, the second leg and the beak.

Crocheted the feathers on a larger needle (6 mm) which made the ‘tail’ longer and I could skip the loose feathers. Have to rethink the beak and the eyes…

2 april 2015
Crocheted another beak (different colors: black, gray and white) and used some glass eyes.
Finished! Just in time for Lottes 9th birthday!
