12-06-2024 xl for Kendall

Making this sweater for daughter number 2, Kendall. Her favorite cropped sweater measures: bust 52, length 23, sleeves 21. Debating whether to do xl or xxl. She lives in Texas, I live in Wisconsin so yeah, checking fit along the way was not going to happen.

Bought the amigo yarn because a) easy care and b) because it’s so light. I was worried if I used berroco vintage like I did for Amanda’s that it would be way too heavy in an xl.

12/31/24 this is taking a while
1st time for me to make an xl anything. I prolly should have made this one before making her sister’s, the smaller red/pink one

1/7/25 body on “hold”
I’m going to do the sleeves before I finish the body. I need to see how much that’ll change the fit before finishing the body.

And it’s done!
I had to pad Sharon (mannequin) to move her from a medium to an xl and I think I did a pretty good job. Am worried the body and sleeves are too long but it would be faster to rip rows and redo ribbing then it would be to add length and then ribbing. That said, the sweater is beautiful and I hope it fits and that she loves it.
