Knitting the Peace Fleece on the 4.5mm was a little tight, but I think it was the right call to go down a needle size and up a pattern size.

May 9 - sleeves and body are done, with body blocking. Just have to pick up the button band stitches and seam!

May 13 - Button band complete. Picked up 4 sts for each row for front and angle of neck, and 1:1 for back neck.

• for the one-row button holes, I worked the cable cast on purlwise as I thought it looked better on the front of the work.
• used Ribbing bind off with 4.5 mm needle, although I don’t think going up the needle size was necessary.

I think I would pick up stitches for the sleeves and knit in the round next time.

Taking it back about going down a needle size - the fabric is a bit stiff so it doesn’t drape at all. And actually, I have used the Peace Fleece before and loved it in my hats, but this is almost soapy smelling and it hasn’t washed out. Not sure this is going to get much wear after all, but not the fault of the pattern!
