07.02.15 I started these socks with the purple yarn, but I didn’t like the contrast it gave once I added the white, and it was also too big. I frogged and cast on with white, and the final effect is much better and better fitting. Huzzah.

Now, the alpaca is not sock yarn, so I’m taking a risk. My hope is that the inclusion of the purple sock yarn will help these puppies last, but I’m mentally prepared for them to felt, hole, or be destroyed.

In the meantime, these are the most amazing feeling socks I’ve ever worn. They’re like a soft angel hug on my feet. The seed stitch texture also feels good to touch on the outside, and they are just super sharp looking. They look professional, yet antique. I’m really loving them.
