04.06.14 This yarn is so squishy and delightful to have on the skin. With summer weather on the horizon, I want something knitted I can still wear when it’s hot. Also, I need a little distraction and me time during the end of the semester rush.

Mods When I knit this pattern the first time, I didn’t care for the two stitch garter border. It still folded over there. So I’m embracing the curl and doing a stockinette border. No garter stitches at all. I did the long tail cast on, started with a purl row (to match up to the purl bumps of the cast on). I knit 7 rows total in stockinette before starting the pattern repeat. It’s barely rolling, and I intend to add fringe for a more delicate edge.

I am doing a slipped stitch selvedge edge. I am slipping on the wrong side. I slip the first and last stitch with the yarn in front. On the right side row, I knit the first and last stitch.

I’ve only two like 2 inches, but the curling seems minimal. I intend to kill this acrylic during blocking, so that should help as well.

05.01.14 I finished blocking this scarf this morning. It was 72” before blocking and before I added 6” of fringe to each side, so it’s probably more than 80” now. I absolutely love it. I don’t normally care for fringe, but it works with this purely decorative scarf.
