11.23.14 I recently bought some beautiful purple stone beads just for this project, so I think this will be heading to the top of my queue.

11.24.14 The pattern calls for a DK weight yarn, but I don’t want my bag to be as big as it is in the pattern. I’m using fingering weight with a strand of size 10 crochet thread on size 3 needles. It’s still turning out quiet large, at least for a dice bag. I like the two yarns held together. It gives the bag a nice texture, and the crochet thread gives a little sheen.

11.25.14 I ran out of yarn. I thought I had enough when I checked my stash, but I didn’t realize I forgot to enter how much purple I had used on a shawl, so I had less than what my stash said. No worries. This will go into hibernation until I can get some more yarn from my LYS.

12.30.14 I picked up the skein of yarn I needed from the LYS yesterday. I couldn’t believe how quickly it came in (less than 2 weeks, and that included the holidays). So w00t, gonna finish my dice bag.

11.31.14 It’s midnight, and I’ve just finished making the braid for my drawstring. My dice bag is complete. Pictures to come.

01.05.14 I was unsatisfied with my drawstring. It was not secure enough, and I thought I might lose some dice. I made another braid the same length and threaded it through on the opposite side. On each side I tied the two ends together, making a drawstring like my old dice bag has (or like a Crown Royal bag). It’s much more secure and just “feels” right. This bag saw it’s first use yesterday. I may make some dice bags for my DM and other players. I generally know what colors they like, and it’s fun to have D&D swag.
