I loved this blanket pattern the minute I saw it. What made it even better is that it’s free! Since I was making it to match my grandson’s nursery, I selected Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in white for the main and a light gray Bernat Blanket yarn for the trim.

I don’t know if anyone else has run into this problem with this project, but I could not make a chain of 89 stitches come out right no matter how many times I tried. I’m sure it was something I was doing wrong, but 88 worked for me. The yarn was hard to get used to at first. I tend to make my stitches tight, so I had to be careful to relax while I worked. The blanket turned out soft and cuddly and the end result was exactly what I wanted.
