This shawl has been my faithful companion as I finished writing my PhD in plant ecology, hence the name (it is the name of my thesis :-) ).

I loved every bit of it, a very easy and soothing project, perfect for picking up and just knitting. Used only leftovers and stash yarn, very proud of that! I changed my mind many times, but kept coming back to the warm autumn golden colors.

It is huge, and I mean HUGE, a delight to wrap around during cold days.

I made the center decrease as s2kp ( slip two stitches together knit wise, knit one, pass slipped stitches over). It gave the shawl a center “back bone” which I love (see fourth photo)
