SCHEDULE
✓Clue #1 - 9.13.13 Started and got to row 11. Re-thinking my colors which were French Grey for A, Candlewick(Yellow) for B, and Sequoia (Russet) for C. The French grey(which reads brown) and Candlewick yellow stripes are looking a little too bumblebee to me.
Attempt # 2 with two Greys, Smokestack (A) and Silver Fox (B), and will insert a pop of color TBD for “C” (perhaps Tart or Grasshopper)
- Very helpful information for knitting Clue #1 is found in this post (link to a stitch count chart), in this post (hints on placing marker to know when you reach the middle of each row), as well as this post (useful placement of markers to keep overall count of your stitches) And of course there is the wonderful video. Summary Clue #1, Use stitch markers! (I did see a mistake when I was at Row 72, there were untwisted stitches across the opening (the holes) way back at about Row 60, so I ripped back and started that section over, adding another couple of days knitting time to Clue 1.) Clue #1 finished 9.22.13
59 grams remain of A (Smokestack)
66 grams remain of B (Silver Fox)
✓Clue #2 - September 20th (Begin 9.22.13)
After checking out the spoilers still anxious about my color choice for C. Bit the bullet, Tart it is.
- Link to very helpful information (Stitch and Row counts)for knitting Clue #2 is found here.
I had difficulty for some reason and discovered the problem on proverbial Row 15. I ended up ripping out Clue 2 back to the second row, and knitting it all again. 2 times the charm. Clue 2 completed 9.24.13. I even have the correct stitch count in the end, yay!
66 grams remain of C (Tart), used 41 grams Clue 2.
✓Clue #3 - September 27th
(begin 10.1.13, completed 10.2.13)
24 grams remain of B (Silver Fox)
✓Clue #4 - October 4th
(begin 10.4.13, finish 10.6.13)
20 grams remain of A (Smokestack)
4 Border Rows used 16 grams of C (Tart)
50 grams C (Tart) left prior to I-cord Bind-off.
Bind-off used 14 grams, 36 remain.
It also took a little over 4 hours for the bind-off row.
3.3.14, wear this all the time and love it! This is a piece that gets noticed by strangers, they love it too!
