To prevent a “gap” in between Tail Feathers: Steps 18 and 27:
Cable cast on is indicated (i.e. 10 or 11 stitches) Cast on an extra st (i.e. 11 and 12) When you “knit the entire row “, K2tog at the gap at your first CO stitch

Used the 3 needle bind-off to join the two tail sections. Knit each tail section with the same number of rows. (41) This gives you the correct stitch count when you pick up the stitches for the chicken body.

Knit the 1st striping section (Primary Colorway) in stockinette

Added two extra rows to the neck.

Used Sunny Day for the beak with Size 6 DPNs.

For the beak after there were 5 stitches I purled back and then K 1, slip one, K2 tog, PSSO, K 1; pull through the 3 remaining stitches and then did the seaming.

Leave long tails on the undersection for sewing up the chicken.

Double Wattle (knit the wattle and before ending it did a few plain rows and then knit the pattern in reverse.) Knit in Royal Blue.

Created an inner “beanbag” with nylon sock and Poly-Fil Poly-Pellets
