Added a change in the Right Side Triangle step as suggested by knit1meow2 to do this:

Pick up 9 (vs. 8) stitches, and on the next row K 2 tog for the first stitch to bring the number back to 8 (and cont. per pattern). When picking up the extra stitch, pickup just one strand, in the knot-like bump from tier below.

Not loving knitting with this yarn, although the colors are beautiful. At 6 points in the first skein the yarn was so thin (to a thread) I needed to cut it (actually just pull it a little)and use a magic knot to re-attach…with concern that it will still rip with any pressure. There is also a lot of debris to remove but that is of less concern to me.

Shawl used 6.56 skeins (1,148 yards/656 grams) prior to adding the fringe.

This yarn was provided to me from the ministry for specific use for this project, to be included in our November 2025 Raffle. I knit one of these shawls in Noro many years ago (2008) and love getting reacquainted with the pattern.
