Making as a KAL with the Knit Shift Podcast.

The yarn is Knit Picks bare, I dyed it to my favorite colors.

I added to the pattern, by repeating Rows 37- 40 (4 times) and repeating Rows 1-4 of the border section at the end.

Because my yarn was a gradient I wanted to use all of it, so I weight it during the last 1/2 of the shawl. I started with 3.7 oz cake.

At the beginning of Row 37 I had 1.98 oz left.

At the end of the Row 37 - 40 section - 1.66 oz left

At the end of the Row 41 - 48 section - .95 oz left
(each Row 41-48 repeat was approx .18 oz)

At the end of the Row 37 - 40 section - .53 oz left
(this is the section I added)

Because I had added the garter section between the mesh and border section I skip Rows 1 & 2 of the border section, starting the border section with Row 3.

At the end of Rows 3 - 8 of border section - .43 oz left

At the end of Rows 1 - 8 and adding additional Row 1 - 4. - .07 oz left.

I did Judy’s Magic cast off and had .03 oz left.

Before blocking the shawl measures 42” (cast off) x 61” YO edge x 36”

After blocking measurements 46” (cast off) x 70” (YO edge) x 40 “

This is the 2nd time I made this shawl and I love it! It’s a quick knit and drapes nicely.
