30 mar: finished last night, wove in ends and attached buttons. I think parts of it look a little messy -- almost wish I had worked the entire thing in stst vs. doing the hood & upper body in rev stst. Still it’s overall pretty cute. Going to wash & dry today. Baby shower on Friday night!

29 mar: finished the first sleeve and almost done with the second. should finish it today and weave in ends and wash! I hope.

28 mar: need to finish ASAP! halfway done with one sleeve.

21 mar: started a sleeve, got buttons this weekend.

18 mar: almost done with the edging, just two more rows -- buttonhole row & bind off. Then onto the sleeves. I should be able to finish this sweater this weekend and pick up buttons. The baby shower is 1 Apr, so I have two weeks!

14 mar: finished the back, 3NB on shoulders, halfway through the hood. :) Once I finish the hood I’ll work the sleeves and then the edging.

11 mar: fronts done. the pattern is a little unclear where to pick up the instructions again for the smaller sizes. back portion is started.

My gauge was off so I actually cast on the 6-12mo size and decreased so the stitch counts are slightly smaller than the 0-6mo size (my gauge is off, so the size is still in the 6mo range). I am only going to add 1-3 toggles to the top (sort of like the larger size, but not really since the shape is different).

10 mar: split fronts and backs last night, almost done with the left front.

Finally picked up the yarn for this yesterday. I’m hoping three balls is enough for the 6-12mo size with a hood. The double garter stitch is very slow to knit, but it does look really cool. This youtube video was quite the help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZp_K3EirZA
