This was a stash yarn that my friend Lenore gave me. (Thanks again Lenore!) I can’t find the ball bands, so I don’t know much about it. It is rayon with cotton slubs, and I believe it’s meant to be worked on a size 4 or 5 needle. Moving up to a size 7 needle to get gauge gave me a somewhat open weave. Drapey, and slinky, and very cool. Perfect sweater for spring or autumn weather. I wear it more than anything I’ve made. Heck, I’m wearing it right now!

I love these Knitting Pure and Simple patterns. And substituting with this yarn was a good example of how flexible these patterns are. I knew nothing about shaping or top-down knitting when I made this, and it came out perfect! All I added were some big hook-and-eye closures for warmth. My thanks to designer Diane Soucy.
