The first mitt is done except for the thumb. I made the large size from the pattern and it’s a bit snug.

I’m going to cast on a new mitten and adding pattern repeats.

ADJUSTED PATTERN
Cast on 44sts, work 2-1/2” in K1P1 rib
Increase 12 sts for a total of 56 sts
Work 9 round MC
Work chart rounds 1-18
Work 1 round MC
Work chart rounds 19-42

THUMB
Pick up 8 sts from Mitten Body CO edge
Knit 19 rounds in CC1

January 31, 2021

Finished first mitten of the larger adjusted pattern. Will make 2nd mitten to match. I should have enough yarn left to make a 2ns mitten to match the first one that was too snug. I’ll give that pair to someone they will fit.

February 7, 2021

Finished the 2nd mitten, they fit much better than the first attempt. Still have no love for color work, so it’s doubtful I’ll be making more.

There was very little of the Chestnut Brown left after finishing the 2nd mitten and I think the color is discontinued. So unless I can find a skein the smaller mitten won’t be getting a match.
